SAFR is committed to the highest levels of professional development. All members are required to maintain current certifications and participate in ongoing training.

What we offer

Training Programs

200+ hours

Firefighter I & II

NFPA 1001 compliant basic firefighter training. Covers fire behavior, suppression tactics, SCBA, and rescue.

120 hours

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

State-certified EMT course. Covers patient assessment, BLS, trauma care, and medical emergencies.

18 months

Paramedic Program

Advanced life support certification. ALS skills including IV/IO, intubation, drug administration, and cardiac care.

32 hours

Hazmat Operations

NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials Operations level training for first responders.

16 hours

Vehicle Extrication

Hydraulic rescue tool operations, scene management, and patient packaging for motor vehicle accidents.

8–32 hours

Incident Command

ICS 100, 200, 300, 400 courses aligned with NIMS/ICS for emergency incident management.
